Get Some Wall Art
Although painting the walls might be a no, that doesn’t mean that you can’t make the walls a space that you enjoy. Wall art, photos, canvases and even wall stickers are a great way to decorate walls without changing them permanently. Get the right hangers that don’t need drilling into the wall and you can pretty much hang whatever you want on the walls and simply remove them when you don’t want them anymore.
Accessories
Much like an outfit isn’t completely finished without some carefully chosen accessories, a room is much the same. Think books to display on the coffee table, a nice rub and some cushions for the sofa. In fact, you can go for trinkets, flowers – anything that puts a splash of your personality in the room.
Think Furniture
It can be tempting to not invest in furniture and simply stick with what the landlord has provided with the house. However, this means that you’re sitting on a sofa you don’t love or sleeping in a bed you’d like to change. Remember that any furniture you buy you can take with you when you leave, so it’s a long term investment the same as if you were living in a home you own, so don’t let the fact you’re a tenant put you off of buying furniture.
