It is easy to assume that the best adventures and the best ways to keep your kids happy throughout the summer holidays are to organise a big (expensive) holiday abroad. However, actually the UK is full of fun and exciting activities – so here is a look at some things to do this summer holidays (in the UK).

Go on A Staycation

The UK is full of wonderful places to visit which means having a holiday here can be lots of fun – whether you want a city break in Glasgow, to visit the Cornish coast or to do something else completely you’ll find that the UK has something to suit you. Pick the right days and you’ll even get sunshine; which is definitely an added bonus. Think about the activities you might like to do while on a staycation and then you can start to research places that might suit you before you get booking!

Take up a New Hobby

The summer holidays with your children is a great time for you to all try something new – after all, you have 6 weeks of days to fill! Geocaching is a great one for getting the children out and about but you can also look at different crafts, art projects and even home baking. Think about the things your child likes to do and how you might like to spend your time and then you can look at finding a hobby that suits you all.

Side Hustle

If you have some spare time while the children are entertained then side hustling is a great way to spend time and earn some extra pocket money, great for those expensive school holiday outings. In fact, you can even get your children involved in side hustling – for example, could they declutter their bedrooms and you help them sell the toys and books they no longer need? You could lead the way by decluttering your own goods & setting an example.

If you have any ideas of things to do this summer holidays then we’d love you to share them!
