Seeing Santa in your local community may not be possible this year, but there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of fun for the kids with a note left from Santa explaining the situation and that he has not forgotten them with all that’s been going on.

Keeping Christmas Fun For Lockdown

A Little Prior Planning

Whereas most years we have been able to freely see our family, even travelled to do so, that won’t be possible this year. Neither will the large office and social parties be happening. So staying in touch with those you care about, being able to exchange gifts and spend time together will need to be done a little differently.

You could consider sending a gift instead of personally delivering it. Choosing a pampering gift like a hamper, or something more practical or personal, will depend on who it’s for –  Be creative and bring a smile to their faces.

Use Technology

With Zoom and other video conferencing apps, making a video call with more than one friend or family member becomes easy. This opens up the opportunity to have fun virtual parties, you could even have a virtual party game session. Charades translates to a digital world easier than pass the parcel, so some creativity is required.

A Christmas family quiz held over zoom can be really good fun, there are plenty of themed online quiz questions for budding quizmasters to compile a great topical quiz. The great thing about compiling your own is you can ensure there are fun questions for all the age range of your family and each one gets a fair chance. Keeping things close and interesting.
