Whether you’re just going for a cheeky week away in the sun or you have slightly more adventurous travel plans, keeping your stuff safe whilst you travel is pretty important. Whilst there is no guarantee that your items won’t get damaged or go missing, there are some ways to keep it safe – here are some packing for holiday tips and tricks.
Sensible Packing
Being sensible about what you pack and what you need to take with you is essential, after all, who wants to be carrying out luggage with them that is heavier than it needs to be. If you are travelling with someone then splitting both of your items between your own cases is a good idea. That way, if one case does go missing or get delayed you still have half of your stuff in the case that does make it there with you. This is trickier if you are travelling alone, but putting a couple of essentials in your hand luggage just in case is always a sensible idea too.

Label Things Clearly
Luggage does plenty of miles when you are travelling, including trips around luggage carousels and in and out of vans for transportation. You want people to easily be able to identify who the luggage belongs to and therefore where it is going. If you have old labels left on from previous tips then it is a good idea to remove these and ensure that only your current and relevant details are on display.
